If so, 417 (City of Bayside) Squadron, Australian Air Force Cadets, is for you!.
The Australian Air Force Cadets (AAFC) is a voluntary youth organisation sponsored by the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). If you’re a boy or girl aged between 13 and 18 years old, you may join the premier air minded youth organisation in Australia and stay until you turn 20.
Here is your chance to learn a lot about aircraft and flying. Many cadets go on to join the RAAF or find a valuable, exciting career in civilian aviation. The AAFC will help you develop leadership, confidence and could make getting a job easier, no matter what you decide to do with your life.
Our squadron meets on Friday evenings during school terms. Squadron activities are supervised by instructors, officers and senior cadets.
To join our Squadron, ask for an Information pack to be sent to you, or come along on a Friday night and pick one up. This pack contains all the documents to be completed by yourelf and your parents or guardians. There is also a Medical Examination report to be completed by your Doctor.
Once you are enrolled you will be issued with two sets of uniform; a smart Air Force 'Service Dress' for formal occasions and a 'Disruptive Pattern Camouflage Uniform" for when you are receiving training.
So join now and we can help you reach for the sky.
